Poetry Pantry #349

Source

Good morning, Poets.  Happy Easter to those who celebrate.  Hope you have had time to write a poem to share with us this week.

This week we wrote poems about "books" for Sumana's prompt at  Midweek Motif.  Next Wednesday Susan's Midweek Motif prompt will be "Holiness / Holy Day."  So, if you have time, do some thinking ahead!

Be sure not to miss Rosemary's The Living Dead poem "Easter 1916" by  W.B. Yeats.  A very deep and meaningful poem for this time of year...plus with Rosemary's explanation and commentary it is all the more interesting.

Monday Sherry is featuring a newcomer to Poets United -- Eric Erb.  Be sure to check back and learn more about him and his poetry.

With no further delay, let's share poetry. Link your one poem below.  Say hello to your fellow poets in the comments.  And then visit the poetry of others who have linked.  Hope to see each of you on the trail.

  2. Happy Easter, to those, who are celebrating it.

Am posting a poem that I wrote last month, about the unique joys that a trans-woman faces, when she turns 50. As April, in Canada, is cancer awareness month, here. Hoping, no one has to lose a love one, to deadly disease, like I have, twice, once on both sides, of my family.

  9. Happy Easter, Happy Spring! It is a gorgeous sunny day here on the West Coast, after a lot of rain. The village is crawling with people out enjoying the dryness. Smiles. This morning I will enjoy poetry, the beach and salted caramel ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. A trio of delights.

  12. Gosh I have had the most adventurous 48 hours of my entire life! Traveled for nine hours from Kuala Lumpur to transit lounge in Islamabad. Met a few celebrities. Lost my suitcases by the time I reached Karachi (which had my laptop) Posted on poetry pantry in a cybercafe ... and just received a call from airport that suitcases have been recovered. Now I am back online (thank god) at home and about to read and comment ❤️
